We have only on-street parking where we live, and sometimes it's really tough to find a spot- especially at night and on the weekends. I have a 45 minute commute, and nothing drives me crazier than finally making it home only to have to drive around for another 20 minutes to find a spot and then walk a few blocks home. My husband knows this, and I get a voicemail today: "It's pretty cold out, so why don't you take advantage of the husband parking service and just give a honk when you get home." Overheard at work: "OHMIGOSH I heard with the wind chill it's going to be TWENTY degrees today!"
Yeah, it's cold outside- do you know why? It's because it's winter. Where I grew up it wasn't rare to get excited about a twenty degree day in January because it mean a cold snap was over. This is what coats, hats, and mittens were invented for. Don't wear your fleece outdoors with the sleeves pulled down over your bare hands and then whine about how cold you are! (Or at least don't do it while expecting sympathy from me.)

Fridays are awesome except if you work on Saturdays. Grrrrr.
