So in order to get to the "after"s, you have to get through some "during"s. It was SO exciting to actually get into our house and start working after picturing it in our heads for months. First step? The dreaded kitchen.

This awful pegboard was covering the kitchen. We had a lot of fun imagining the people who put it up: "Oh I KNOW, let's put PEGBOARD on all the walls! It will be so USEFUL, we can HANG things all over it!"
Buh-bye pegboard, nice knowing you.
Hubs had this helpful hint for me while I was unscrewing one of the outlet covers you see up there: "If you feel a buzz, let go." Great tip. (Mom, don't worry, he only got a little bit electrocuted.)

Don't worry I saved a knob.
Hubs thinks Anthropologie is going to catch on to this corn-in-the-knob trend and start selling them in the near future so I want to be prepared.
