In other news, the guy who we're ordering our cabinets from apparently stopped by the house today to take some measurements. We thought we had explained to him that the kitchen is FAR from finished, but I don't think he took us seriously, because here's part of the email he sent after his visit.
"Hello Mr.LastName & happy Monday to you!! I went by your home today & I talked to the contractor on site….They still haven’t completed the framing of the walls …In fact they were still doing some demo of the existing floors…walls…etc…"
Can we please discuss this for a minute?
First off, "happy Monday to you!!" ? Those words came out of your mouth and also they needed to be followed by two exclamation points?
Second, do you really think that we are unaware of the fact that our kitchen currently has no floor? I know I'm female and all, and may not fully grasp this whole construction and renovation thing (or at least I assume that's why you insist on addressing only my husband), but that's the kind of detail even I wouldn't overlook.
And please don't get me started on the fact that this guy refuses to put the apostrophe in our last name. Hubs refers to it as Irish discrimination.
Anyways, I really feel I should have been warned about such a key piece of information, you know something along the lines of "hey mr. Noapostrophe- i don't mean to shock you or surprise you or anything, but your kitchen? there are no floors! and there are barely walls. just thought you should know!!"
Please blame any snarkiness in this post on the fact that (did you hear!?) my kitchen has no floors.
