Most Beautiful: I have to pick the long drawn out telling of Finn's birth story for this category, and the last chapter specifically.

Most Popular: As far as page views go, (many thanks to Pinterest), the reveal of Finn's nursery is the most popular post here by far:

Tied with that post for the most comments though, is the announcement of his arrival:

Most Controversial: I don't tend to be the most controversial blogger, although I do get a mean comment every now and then just like everyone else. If there's anything that will get people worked up though, it's breastfeeding, and I was surprised that someone out there found my post on the subject to have an "undertone of condemnation". There were lots of others who found it helpful though, so you won't find me shutting up about my boobs anytime soon ;)

Most Helpful: Judging by the comments and emails on the subject, it's my two cloth diaper posts.

Post Whose Success Surprised Me: A year and a half later, and this is still one of my most popular posts. You wouldn't believe the number of people who find my blog by googling "river rock shower tile" and land on this post about our master bathroom renovation.

Post That Didn't Get the Attention it Deserved: This is just silly, but I spent a stupid amount of time working on our Halloween costumes last year and got only four comments on that post. Just not a lot of love out there for homemade puffy paint sweatshirts?

Wildcard: I'm adding in this bonus category. You know you've been reading my blog for a long time if you remember this one: corn knobs.

I love all your posts!
ReplyDeletePFFFT "Undertone of condemnation"... what a lameo!!!! Hahaha!!
ReplyDeletelove those corn knobs!
ReplyDeleteI just need to clarify. I am the reader you are referring to who you understood to be judging you for an "undertone of condemnation". If you read over my comment carefully, you'll see that I did not specifically target you or your post - just a general statement on the subject specifically referring to those who DO exhibit condemnation. I was on a bit of a rant, and I apologize if you misinterpreted it. I can see how it eluded to your post directly however I do apologize, I was not targeting you specficially.
ReplyDeleteAnd @Sarah - wtf? Way to board a hate train that never left the station.
@Anonymous... Thanks for clarifying... it's okay either way though, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
ReplyDeleteI'd love if you commented non-anonymously though!
@Sarah- I do encourage you NOT to voice your opinion on anyone who does look down upon your parenting choices and make you feel guilty. (AGAIN - not this particular post) Maybe then you'll see how "lameo" it feels.
ReplyDelete@E - unfortunately I have none of the options which allow me to post under anything else. I can include my name for what its worth, but I have no blog, no URL, nothing in the drop down option screen. Not even a google account. Sorry!
ReplyDelete- Sam
@Sam- thanks! Glad you're still reading :)
ReplyDeleteWaaahhh yikes sorry dude! Sorry, the phrasing was just funny at the time... I PROMISE I'm not a hater!!
ReplyDeleteLove these links, lady! The nursery pic still makes my heart happy as does all the others!
ReplyDeleteI never commented on the Halloween costume one, but I did love it! I know, bad blog reader. In fact, just the other day I was telling my pregnant friend that she should rip it off for this Halloween :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am wayyyyyy behind on my Google Reader at the moment. Forgive my tardiness!
