Okay, your turn. If you were nine months old, what would you be asking Santa for? And don't say no more naps; Santa's tired.

Why wouldn't you buy Christmas gifts for a nine month old?? I'm with you on this one- I would :)
ReplyDeleteUm.... Lily turned 2 months old the day after Christmas last year & Santa brought her stuff!! Last year's gifts included an activity mat, LL Bean momogrammed tote (she's Southern, what can I say?), some teethers, and a personalized book from Mommy & Daddy. This year she turns 14 months old the day after Christmas and her list includes some Little People, lots of books, a new bathing suits, and finger paints. And who knows what the grandparents are getting :-) I don't think age matters when it comes to Christmas. Will Finn remember what he got? No. But do YOU remember everything you got last year? Me neither :-)
ReplyDeleteT was 8 months last year around this time and we definitely got him a few gifts. But mostly, his grandparents went overboard and we just guided their craziness. :) Love the stuff you picked!!It's just to easy to buy for the babes.
ReplyDeleteWe've been using the fleece Halo sleep sack for early walkers (the feet stick out) and it's been working very well!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear more about your adventures in Baby Led Weaning! Also, the DeeDee sleep sack is AWESOME!

My daughter will be 8 months on Christmas Eve and is definitely getting gifts. She's getting a push toy for beginning walkers, some stacking rings, lots of Dr Seuss, a small make shift ball pit, a baby size couch, and a few toys that make music/light up. A side note on that singing state toy- we have one in the baby room at the daycare I work at and I don't think it's stable enough for them to pull up on at all. Good Luck!
ReplyDeletelove the sleep sack idea! R may be getting one of those for christmas. he has been waking up and we think it's because he is cold. even in warm jammies. look at you teaching this old dog new tricks. xo
ReplyDeleteLove your list! My 7-month-old is trying to stand and I was eyeing that mirrored stage too. Thanks to the commenter who said it's not stable enough for climbing. We are also getting our baby a sleep sack: The Grobag. Wish I could say the temperature is why she still gets up 8 times a night...but sadly, that's doubtful for us. (It's probably because momma is all too willing to nurse her at every waking...glutton for punishment over here!) We also put the obligatory ball popper on our list (yours actually looks better though), the same float (ours came in blue...for a girl...sigh), and some sand toys for next summer. Oh, and Hide&Squeak Eggs and a xylophone (Hohner Kids Toddler Glockenspiel with Bag and Safety Mallet.) Yeah, did I mention she's 7 months old? haha. Oh and thanks for the rec on the Beco Gemini. We have an Ergo, but I just don't love it (I know, gasp!). The Beco, however, is amazingly awesome. Love it even more because I got it on Craigslist for 1/4 of the price!
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that with all of these fun, imagination inspiring gifts Finn will be a talented musician! What else is Santa doing in your house, he seems very on top of it?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recommendations guys!
ReplyDeleteJustAng- so glad you love the Beco!
Lynn- thank you for the heads up... definitely off the list this year then.
DeeDee- just ordered that sleep sack- thanks! Curious why it shares your name!?
oh and Kate... thanks for reminding me, this boy definitely needs a personalized LLBean tote. Sad that his dog brother has one and not him- must be remedied immediately! ;)
ReplyDeleteOh my! Just my personal opinion, but I think it's a shame if a baby doesn't receive gifts for their first Christmas, regardless of age! It's the principle, ya know? ;) Looks like great suggestions, I am in the market for a sleep sack as well!

Great list! We have the B. Drum on LC's list, too! At 9 months, she's getting the Fisher Price Learning Home, the B. Zany Zoo, a Melissa and Doug Walker, a few small toys and books, and whatever my parents end up getting her. So many great toys for this age; it's hard to restrain myself! We were looking at the PB chairs this weekend, but that may have to wait till her 1st birthday.
ReplyDeleteUmmm my kid's only gonna be 4.5 months by Christmas and he's definitely gonna have some presents under the tree. This years it's clothes cause he's still a little younger for toys, but I've totally been eye-ing that dragon ball toys. I'm totally buying that when he gets old enough. And I loved Hungry Hippos when I was younger! Besides I'm sure my parents are gonna send a ton of presents for him too.
ReplyDeleteThe DeeDee sleep sack was a shower gift because a friend loved that it shared my name... Turns out it's the BEST for cold nights! Super cozy. Wish they have big girl sizes!
ReplyDeletewhat is Finn giving for christmas? any fun DIY projects for the grandparents?
