{Afternoon}
3:15 pm. I give Finn a few minutes to work it out for himself, but pretty soon it's clear that his nap is over. He's grumpy and nurses for a little while again which helps a bit. We play in his room.
3:45 pm. We're all bundled up again and heading to Target. It's strange not to pack Finn into his car seat first; we just started using his new convertible car seat last week. It looks more comfortable to me, but it seems like he hates getting in and out of it even more than he did with his old seat. (We got this one.
4:00 pm. We head in to Target. I have six things on a list, but of course we end up with about four times that many items in our cart. We spend under a hundred bucks though, so it's a success.
5:00 pm. We're back in the car and headed home, but Finn's dad calls to see if we want to grab dinner. He's out of work a bit early and has time before heading to his grad school class (he's getting his master's degree, and this is the last evening class ever, YAY).
5:10 pm. We meet up at Punk's Backyard Grill for dinner.
Finn eats some puffs while we wait for our food.
5:15 pm. Finn tries macaroni and cheese for the first time. It's a hit.
6 pm. We're back at home after finishing dinner, and Finn's dad is on his way to his class. We took the rest of Finn's mac and cheese to go and it's dinnertime part two for him.
Dessert is pears.
6:30 pm. We head upstairs for bed a little early since Finn's second nap was so short today. In the winter we only do a bath every other night and tonight is not the night. Finn gets a clean double-stuffed diaper.
And his robot pjs.
Of course he gets a bit of a second wind and wants to play in his room now.
We read a bedtime story. (Or three.)
7 pm. I put Finn in his sleep sack and it's time to nurse.
7:35 pm. He's squirmy and grabbing my face and seemingly trying to pull my nose off while he nurses. I text his dad that he's showing zero signs of wanting to go to sleep.
7:45 pm. He's out.
8:00 pm. I rock him for a few more minutes and tell him to have sweet baby dreams. I love my days home with him.

Great posts. Enjoy your days with him. I went back to work a few weeks ago and I miss being home with my baby girl!
I can't get over how incredibly adorable he is. He looks so happy in every photo!
I love reading day-in-the-life posts. I miss being able to spend time at home with my little guy!
What a full day! Thanks for the glimpse :)
I love day-in-the-life posts! For someone who has no idea what to expect, they're super interesting (although I know every baby is different). Finn is super cute, and I'm glad the mac & cheese was a hit!
Do you use the microfiber inserts and just double stuff at night or do you use bamboo or hemp?
Oh... Mah.... Gah.... THAT HAT!!!!!
@lynn: we use a hemp insert under the regular microfiber one. It works really well!
Glad he liked his mac and cheese from Punk's. Thanks for coming in!
Don't you love how 10 minutes prior to his being out you thought he would never go down?
HUT has those same jammies - only when he was crawling he wore a hole in the knee - twice. Thanks for sharing your DITL!
Sooooooo cute! And isn't baby posture to DIE for!?
I love a day-in-the-life post, especially one that includes Target.
